Case Study – N O O Swimwear – Eco sustainable packaging

Fairs are stimulating places where you can find always novelties and new stimuli. During Mare di Moda in November 2018, we got in touch with the lingerie and beachwear company Noo. The company has been found by two creative young women: they were looking for a cool packaging that could be suitable for their products. All their swimsuits and lingerie have been developed for modern and aware women who don’t want to give their own femininity up.

Mutual ideas and policy

Noo needed different bags for swimsuits and the two owners were initially interested in a button bag produced with 100% recyclable classic plastic material (PP). For this reason, they were searching for a supplier that focuses on details in the development and production of an elegant packaging. In addition, the supplier must share their same company policy aimed at promoting green policies by choosing materials with low environmental impact and by limiting waste during production stages.

During our first meeting, we have shown our client different 100% recyclable packaging types and other high standard ecological solutions that are spreading on the market.

A packaging that reveals the consumer policy

In the end, it has been chosen a material that could reveal better the avant-garde image of Noo in adopting mainly strategies with low environmental impact. The material is PP-ECO, which degrades quickly after the disposal. At this stage, the bag type has been also changed: Noo has decided for a packaging with black slider and black printing on one side.

As usual, before ordering we make a printed sample with the final design in order to test the packaging and to see the final effect with the product inside the bag. Noo orders in April 2019 and then it reorders in July 2020 the same bag with a different printing: this time it is white and we print on both sides of the bag.

It is fundamental to listen our client’s needs and requests: it’s a precious opportunity for personal growth; it allows us to follow step by step the bag’s realization process in order to bring our clients’ ideas to life and to respect the image they want to reveal to consumers.
