Legoplast company policy has long been driven by the maximization of production stages’ efficiency and the reduction of energy consumption in our factory. These elements are essential in our business strategy aiming at protecting the environment and reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
The most important and tangible step towards this commitment consists in the installation of a 120-kW photovoltaic plant on our factory roof. This ambitious project has allowed us to use partially the roof area, e.g. 720 m2, and it was planned to generate autonomously solar energy. The system will produce more than 133.000 kWh of clean energy: it is in concrete terms equivalent to a reduction of 875 tons of CO2 emissions per year and to the beneficial effect of 39.250 trees in 25 years.
It is an important investment for Legoplast business strategy, which relies heavily on completely using renewable energy sources.
